In GTA Online, a player tried to earn quick money through a cargo delivery. As luck would have it, he crossed paths with a griefer, and this person destroyed everything he had. How it still led to a happy ending, you can find out here.
A catastrophic delivery: A perfectly normal day in GTA Online. The reddit user __Username_Not_Found was on his way to deliver his cargo and collect his hard-earned GTA dollars when suddenly a griefer ruined his trip. His entire load vanished in an explosion.
The culprit was a team member who abruptly left the lobby when his plan succeeded. Angered by this act of trolling, the GTA player contacted Rockstar’s customer support, and they were ready to help him.
Rockstar does not leave its loyal gangsters out in the rain
What did Rockstar do? The reddit user __Username_Not_Found did not hesitate and immediately contacted Rockstar’s support. The support team reviewed the situation and responded accordingly to the unfortunate situation the player found himself in with the following response:
The support states: “We understand that you are worried about the destroyed crates. We would like to inform you that, according to the game design, other players can destroy the crates. Unfortunately, we do not provide compensation in such cases. However, since you are a valuable player to us, we have credited your account with 1,000,000 GTA$ as a one-time compensation. […]”
In this case, the player received an exception and got a large amount of GTA dollars for free as compensation. A generous donation from Rockstar support, which the player immediately uses to get back at the troll.
He therefore posts the support’s response on reddit with the note that this thread goes to the troll player. He did not lose everything despite his losses.
Rockstar is happy to help its fans: It is not the first time that Rockstar has helped its fans. In the comments under the thread, many gangsters share their experiences with support.
Among them are also users who have received money multiple times. Reddit user spokes2k7 says: “Yes, they do it more than once! My last cargo drop was not delivered twice. Both times I was told they could do nothing about it, but because I was such a valuable player, they would give me the money. […]”
