The release will take place on December 15, 2021. There is no official release time for the update from Rockstar Games itself. Based on the release times of previous updates, a time between 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM German time is expected.
But Rockstar Games knows how to surprise. Exactly one year ago, on December 15, 2020, the team released the big Cayo Perico update. At that time, the update rolled out around 11:00 AM for users – first on console, then on Steam and the Rockstar Games Launcher. It’s possible that 11:00 AM will also be chosen as the start time for the “The Contract” update.

What content does The Contract bring?
New story: Fans were astonished when Franklin Clinton was shown in the announcement and trailer for the update “The Contract”. He is one of the protagonists from the story mode and is now making a big comeback with an agency. However, he still lacks connections in the celebrity world, which he gets from none other than his buddy Lamar Davis.

- Four locations for the agencies
- You can customize the agencies with art, colors, wallpaper, private areas, armories, and vehicle workshops
- The story will have a heist structure – smaller missions that then culminate in a finale
- From your agency contact, you can utilize services such as summoning an SUV, going off the radar, or finding a bike nearby
- There are supposed to be 15 new vehicles – Cinquemila, Reever, Shinobi, variants of Granger and Baller, Deity, new variants of Patriot and Buffalo, and a new variant of the Comet as a convertible, as well as the two revealed vehicles Jubilee and Champion
- Three new weapons are part of the update – in addition to the already introduced EMP launchers and stun guns, there will be the heavy rifle “Heavy Rifle”
- New color variants for weapons like a festive Up-n-Atomizer
- Many new clothing items like t-shirts, earrings, hats, masks, and also tattoos
