In GTA Online, some PvP vehicles are facing the axe. Nerfs and buffs are expected. The community is responding positively. Players are commenting on their wishes.
What’s happening in GTA Online? On March 15, the new version of GTA Online for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S was released. It also brought new content, such as Hao’s Workshop, into the online world. However, the developers have more plans that they officially announced.
They want to tackle the PvP cars that are frequently used for fighting. This has received applause from the community of the game. Some candidates frequently stand out as griefer vehicles, and others are far too weak.
Is the big Oppressor MKII nerf coming?
What does Rockstar Games say? In a blog post, the team writes on March 15:
As part of our efforts to optimize the player experience in GTA Online, you can expect higher base payouts in biker sales missions and higher daily nightclub earnings on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. We also plan to make further adjustments for all versions of the game in the future and revise the balancing in certain areas, such as for vehicles that are frequently used in PvP confrontations. More details will follow soon.

Particular attention is drawn to the sentence regarding the PvP vehicles. Players have opened a thread on reddit that thoroughly addresses the issue.
What do the players say? It is clear here that many demand a nerf for the Oppressor MK II. This is a flying motorcycle that can shoot homing rockets at you and your vehicles. Anyone who has played GTA Online in public sessions for a few days will surely be familiar with this nasty griefer motorcycle.
We present to you here a few quotes from the reddit thread on the subject:
- “Thumbs up for a nerf of the MK2”
- “Hopefully, there will be a nerf for the MK2”
- “Please Rockstar, replace the Ruiner rockets of the MK2 with those of the Buzzard”
- “Hopefully, it’s an MK2 nerf and a laser/Hydra cannon nerf”
Players explain that the homing rockets of the MK II are too strong. The Buzzard’s, on the other hand, react more slowly and are not as accurate. If these were installed in the MK II, that could nerf the vehicle.
Elsewhere, there is a desire to be able to install jammers in all cars. With jammers, the targeting system of vehicles like the Oppressor MK II can no longer directly target your cars, but has to be manually aligned. However, the possibility of upgrading jammers currently exists only for a handful of vehicles.
In the comments, there are also calls for buffs for certain vehicles. After all, Rockstar Games speaks of “balancing” in general and not just nerfs. Players wish for the Valkyrie helicopter to be buffed, a hefty military helicopter that currently sees little use in PvP.
Also, the Rhino tank, which with its powerful cannon seems perfect for large battles, is hardly used due to its weaknesses. Here too, players are demanding buffs.
