With its major summer update, GTA 5 Online aimed to improve the gaming experience for you. Some aspects have worked out. However, the removal of almost 200 vehicles from the dealers’ offerings is currently upsetting players a lot.
Why were cars removed? As an important part of the San Andreas Mercenaries update, the developers of Rockstar Games brought some gameplay improvements to GTA Online. You can now request destroyed cars all at once from Mors Mutual Insurance, which pleases players.
Upon the release of the update, the developers announced, “In return, many less-used vehicles were removed from the dealer websites to optimize the shopping experience.”
Now gamers have investigated how much this optimization of the shopping experience affects things and which vehicles are affected.
Which cars are no longer purchasable?
This is known: In the GTA forums, players have collected since release of San Andreas Mercenaries which cars have disappeared from the various dealers. We compile the list here as of June 14 at 09:50 AM (via GTAForums.com). Currently, 189 vehicles have been noticed that are no longer offered for sale by dealers.

Here are the ways: Although the vehicles mentioned above are no longer found on the dealers’ websites, they have not completely disappeared from the game. As Rockstar Games explains, there are other ways to still obtain them:
Additionally, you can already find the Stirling GT and the RE-7B in the new Vinewood Car Club, which you can only access if you are a customer of the subscription service GTA+.
How are players reacting?
This is what the community writes: Players received the changes very poorly. In the comments, players exchange views that the developers made the update one of the worst updates of the game just because of these changes.
For example, user Bill_From_RDR2 (via Reddit): “This update must be the worst. It added a few contact missions and made no noticeable positive changes. But at the same time removed a few of the most popular vehicles in the game [from the dealer shops]. We should force Rockstar to reverse this.”
In another thread on Reddit, players showcase ideas on how to improve the shopping experience without removing vehicles. “They should add stores for different types of vehicles. Like ‘San Andreas Consumer Cars’, ‘West Coast Offroad Vehicles’ etc.” writes Jessez_FIN.
These ideas are well received. In the comments, one often reads that a few more sorting functions at the dealers would be enough improvement to offer a good shopping experience. Players do not want to tolerate that all these vehicles were removed from the dealers’ websites.
