In GTA Online there is a small, hidden event related to the popular movie series “Die Hard.” The mini-mission even rewards you with the villain’s weapon. What you need to do for this, we will show you on MeinMMO.
The “Die Hard” series with action hero Jon McClane is for many families as much a part of Christmas Eve as cookies and nagging children – “Be good, or Santa won’t come!”.
The movies take place during the Christmas season, and GTA Online has now used this to introduce a new event in the game. You will experience a scene similar to the film and receive a weapon from the nasty villain Hans Gruber.

GTA Online: Mini Event for “Die Hard” – Here’s How
How do I activate the event? You don’t need a public session for the event, but you do need to be in the game for a bit – about 20 minutes.
After that, you need to fly to Weazel Plaza at a specific in-game time – it’s best to use an armed helicopter for this.
- The event triggers between 8 PM and 6 AM in-game time at Weazel Plaza
How do I complete the event? If some police helicopters are flying around the roof, the event is active. Eliminate all enemies on the roof to complete the event. Be aware that the police can also be dangerous.
One of the enemies up there is particularly tough and takes a lot of damage before going down. This is the GTA version of Hans Gruber, who also drops the new weapon. You will then need to pick it up yourself to unlock it.

What rewards are there? In addition to the handgun WM 29 Pistol (Heckler & Koch P7), you will receive 25,000 GTA dollars for completing it.
Can the event be repeated? You can trigger the event again if you want to repeat the mission or if you didn’t manage to collect the weapon. But the 25,000 GTA dollars can only be earned once.
