What’s happening in GTA 5 Online? Today, Thursday, February 13, a new event week started in the online world of GTA 5. There is a new Weekly Bonus and special new loot in the Casino Heist.
Analysts have been discussing for weeks when GTA Online would finally unlock diamonds as a reward in the Casino Heist. They have only been found in the code so far, not in the game. The possible release was speculated around Valentine’s Day, and it seems they were correct.
Data miners have closely examined the changes of the new event week and see: Diamonds are waiting in the Casino. You can secure them as loot from now on!
What do the diamonds bring? If you play the Casino Heist and find the diamonds as loot, you have the maximum possible amount of profit from this heist. Because they bring in more than a million dollars more than the cash content.

How do you get diamonds in the Casino Heist? Usually, it depends on luck whether your vault is filled with money, artworks, gold, or now also diamonds. You will only find out after starting the Casino Heist when you scout the loot. But for the very first time, there is supposed to be a guaranteed diamonds.
This is also confirmed by GTA expert TezFunz2 on Twitter.
This means that if you start a new Casino Heist now and have never seen diamonds as loot before, there is now a one-time guarantee for the gems. But only for one heist. If everything goes smoothly and you start another one afterward, there is no longer any guarantee.
How rare are diamonds actually? After your guaranteed first diamond filling in the vault, the chance of getting them as loot in a new heist afterwards is only about 8%.
Will the diamonds stay forever? Currently, it seems that the diamonds will remain in the game from now on.
