What kind of hacks are these? In recent days, it has become known that people with hack menus in GTA Online can not only spawn annoying content but can also break much more. Experts warn against logging into GTA Online. Videos of affected players are circulating, showing them unable to log into the online world after a hack. Others have apparently even been banned due to this external interference.
At least for the players who have not been banned but still cannot log in, there is a solution.

What is the solution? On Twitter, Rockstar Games expert TezFunz2 shares a solution for players affected by “Account Corruption” in GTA Online. That is, the players who currently cannot log into online sessions (sometimes also story mode).
- Delete your “Rockstar Games” folder, which you will find under “Documents” on your Windows PC
- Now download the game again to update your profile data
This solution does not apply preventively and does not protect you from a hack. Those who have been banned should directly contact the support of Rockstar Games and describe the problem.
“Account Corruption” allegedly removed by mod developer
This is the current status: On Twitter, screenshots are circulating from a mod developer who claims responsibility for the issues. He states that these “malicious features” were meant to increase the popularity of the tool in the modding community and that it sounded like a “good idea.” However, he admits that it was a mistake. He also states that he is releasing an open-source tool that makes affected accounts playable again.
For the mod menu, there was then an immediate update that removed these malicious features.
What should you do now? Players continue to advise against playing GTA Online right now. It is still “dangerous” and one cannot be sure that their own account will not be attacked.
