In the trailer for GTA 6, a character with facial tattoos appeared. The American Lawrence Sullivan, known as the “Florida Joker”, sees himself as the clear model for this character and makes demands: He wants not only money but also for the characters to speak – and more story in GTA 6 and Maoam.
This is the backstory:
- In December, Lawrence Sullivan issued a deadline to Rockstar: They were to compensate him within three days, or else he would unleash his lawyers on the company. Two million dollars would be acceptable to him.
- He accused them of using “his likeness” in the trailer; Rockstar had, in a sense,
stolen his life.
- To the surprise of absolutely no one, Rockstar and Take-Two let this “deadline” of three days pass without further comment, after which Sullivan generously granted them another month. He actually did not want to sue them.
Let’s talk, man
This is the new demand: Now that the bonus month has also expired, Sullivan is reaching out to Rockstar again. Now he demands: “Let me have the character speak, give me a storyline in the game – Let’s make history together, man!”
After all, everyone can see what he has already done well for GTA 6: He has made it to the headlines and blogs. Everyone is writing about him, everyone loves him, man.
It is clear to everyone in Florida that the character in the trailer for GTA 6 is clearly inspired by him.
However, Sullivan does not take the matter lightly: “Stop messing with me, GTA 6! Where’s my money? Call me, let’s make a deal! I don’t want to go to court, with lawsuits, lawyers, and this and that, but if I must, I will!”
