A new leak about GTA 6 suggests that for the first time, a child will become a character in the story. We even know to whom it belongs.
After the official announcement of the next title in the GTA series, hype has broken out in the gaming community. At the same time, apparently, internal sources from Rockstar Games are spilling information about what players can expect in GTA 6. It has now been said that for the first time, a child will be seen in the story. A turning point for the franchise.

Toddler in the story, but not playable?
This is what the leak says: In the past, the stories of GTA had younger characters but refrained from including children. However, this seems to be changing now. Information that Rockstar Universe claims to have received from internal sources at Rockstar Games reports about a child.
Who is the child? Allegedly, the character is the child of Lucia. Lucia is, according to previous leaks, the main protagonist of the single-player mode. There is also a turning point in the story here, as for the first time you can play a female character in the story.
While there have been characters with children in earlier installments of the franchise, like Michael in GTA 5, Lucia’s child is said to be significantly younger. According to the leak, you will even see it in cutscenes. However, it is not supposed to be playable and not part of missions.
This is special: If the leak is true, then GTA 6 would set itself apart significantly from its predecessors. Because in the past, children have been kept out of the storyline. Presumably due to the brutal and controversial narratives.
Generally, Rockstar Games does not shy away from including children in games. In Red Dead Redemption (2), we also see John Marston’s son, Jack.
While Michael’s children in GTA 5 were also part of the story, they are now grown up at over 20 years old and do not count as a “child character”.
Presumably, Rockstar Games needs to be particularly careful with child characters. Because the outcry that would arise if children were seen strolling on sidewalks with their parents while crazed, armed drivers roared through the city would be immense.
Or they could take a cue from Cyberpunk 2077, where children are also seen in the city, but cannot be harmed or killed.
