At the end of 2023, GTA 6 struggled with a major data leak. However, the released information allowed fans to create a map of the game. Now, a location has been discovered that would be perfect for the online mode of GTA Online.
What kind of place is it? Thanks to the data leaks and the first trailer for GTA 6, diligent fans were able to uncover a location that will exist in the game. For a brief moment, the Gainesville Raceway was visible in the first trailer.

The Raceway is a real drag racing track in northern Florida. Since the team at Rockstar has already implemented real locations in past GTA games, it’s likely that the racetrack will also find its way into the game. According to the thread creator, about 500 buildings and landmarks have already been identified.

The new location would be perfect for GTA Online
What is so special about the place? The racetrack would likely be the perfect spot for many fans of GTA Online. A user in the Reddit forum mentions that the racetrack reminds them of the Sandy Shores Airfield, which also appeared in GTA 5 and GTA Online.
At the airfield, players can spawn helicopters. If the racetrack is indeed featured in GTA 6, players could spawn fast racing cars here or perhaps even compete in races against each other. One user at least hopes that car races can be held here.
When could new information about GTA 6 be released? The release of the first trailer was about 11 months ago. Many fans therefore hope that Rockstar will show another trailer soon. As a user on X speculates, that could indeed be the case.
Rockstar is reportedly holding its investors meeting on November 6, 2024. On the same day, about a year ago, the release of the first trailer was announced. It’s possible that an announcement directly following the investors meeting this year could bring joy to GTA 6 fans.
So far, the release of GTA 6 is planned for fall 2025. However, there are concerns that a delay to 2026 may be looming.
