Grand Theft Auto 6 is probably one of the most anticipated games in the gaming industry. For years, fans have been wondering when the action game will be released – or at least when we will finally receive official information or even a trailer. However, some fans are obviously a bit more impatient than others while waiting.
Which show was it? The “Sport1 Doppelpass” is a talk show of the sports channel “Sport1”, where football is discussed, especially the current matchday of the Bundesliga. Various experts are always present in the talk show to discuss the performances of the different teams.
What did the fan do? An enthusiastic GTA fan interrupted the live show of the “Sport1 Doppelpass” on Sunday morning.
While former national player Steffan Effenberg was talking about the match between Borussia Dortmund and 1. FC Köln, the unknown person burst onto the set and interrupted the conversation. He asked the participants whether any of them had played GTA 6.
Shortly thereafter, another man entered the live show and poured water over the troublemaker before both were asked by host Florian König to “leave the set very quickly.”

What is the current status of GTA 6? Even in August 2023, there is no new information on the status of the development of GTA 6 and when the game is supposed to be released.
In September 2022, there was a big leak about GTA 6, from which some insights into the latest installment of the action series resulted. Since then, however, it has become noticeably quieter around the title.
Only a financial report from Take Two indicated a possible release of GTA 6 in 2024. Take Two is the publisher of the GTA series and stated in the financial report that they expect “more than 8 billion US dollars in net bookings” in the fiscal year 2025, as several “groundbreaking titles” are planned during that period, which they expect to set new “quality and success standards.”
Nevertheless, Rockstar Games has not been idle – there was promising news about GTA. The studio announced in August that it would recruit the development team of some popular multiplayer mods used on role-playing servers:
