The gaming publisher Take-Two has also spoken about GTA 6 in a new report to its investors. There was a brief update on development and the expectations one can have for the game.
First of all: Publisher Take-Two and developer Rockstar Games have not revealed any details regarding the release date of GTA 6. However, the latest investor report briefly mentioned the new action game:
The development of the next title in the “Grand Theft Auto” series is on a good path. The teams at Rockstar Games are determined to once again set creative standards – for the series, our industry, and the entire entertainment industry, just as they have with each of their major releases.

The responsible parties are again revealing little about the new GTA, and so the reactions from fans are similar.
On reddit, there are many remarks about when the release will finally take place. “MrTrubiscuit” says, “so sometime between 2023 and 2050, I got it” (via reddit.com). User “harooh” responds with, “sometime from 2023 to never.”
On Twitter, “@AidenRamburger” says: “I just hope the hype lasts long enough,” as there are still no details about a release window (via twitter.com).
And indeed, the hype can be felt in some comments. User “Oriond34” writes on reddit: “So basically they’re saying it exists and will be damn wild!” (via reddit.com).
The investor report also shared a bit about the current status of Rockstar’s two hits GTA 5 / Online and Red Dead Redemption.
Thus, GTA 5 has reached a new sales milestone with 170 million units sold. Red Dead Redemption 2 stands at a very strong 45 million units.
Moreover, GTA Online remains strong and since the start of the coronavirus pandemic in the first quarter of 2020, there are 49% more players. Also, GTA+ and the versions for the new consoles are posting good numbers.
