Developer Rockstar Games is still holding back on official information about the new GTA 6. However, an insider report from well-informed gaming journalist Jason Schreier now reveals some details about the new action game.
What is new about GTA 6? In fact, Jason Schreier wrote an article on the US site “Bloomberg” about the new corporate philosophy and changes at GTA developer Rockstar Games (via bloomberg.com).
Almost in passing, Schreier also mentioned a few small, important details about GTA 6 that he claims to have learned from his sources:
- There are 2 playable main characters
- One of the two characters is female
- The female character is a Latina
- The character is said to be inspired by “Bonny & Clyde”
- The working title of GTA 6 is “Project America”
- The main map is inspired by Miami and its surroundings
- After the release, additional cities are expected to be added to the game
- You can enter many more buildings
- The world is already “currently” large and is expected to grow further after release
Caution Leak: Keep in mind that this is an unconfirmed insider report. Things may change with the official announcement from the developers.
However, journalist Jason Schreier is known to be well-connected and reliable. He enjoys a high reputation in the industry, and often it is said: If he publishes something from his insider news, there is something to it.
Schreier was also the one who seriously commented on the release of GTA 6 for the first time. In the end, however, these remain unconfirmed information and we have to wait for what Rockstar confirms or not.
Schreier’s statements also align with previous leaks. There has already been speculation that GTA 6 might bring multiple cities and content for over 500 hours (via screenrant.com).
Currently, however, GTA Online is fully active and recently released its summer update – with new vehicles, significant changes to “Quality of Life” mechanics, and a nerf for the lousy flying scooter.
