Rockstar will launch the next-gen version of GTA 5 and GTA Online for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in just a few weeks. It will feature some general improvements and 5 new cars that are designed to take full advantage of the performance of the more powerful console.
When is the next-gen version releasing? GTA 5 will be released on March 15 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
What is different about this version? The new version will offer the ability to play GTA 5 in 4K and at 60 FPS. Additionally, there will be upgrades for objects in the visible distance, along with HDR options and ray tracing.
The developers also mention faster loading times and 3D audio in the announcement. Furthermore, PS5 users can look forward to the haptic feedback from the controller, which has received much praise, being utilized in the new version.
Those who previously played on PS4 or Xbox One will also be able to transfer their old save files to the new version.

New tutorial and 5 new cars for GTA Online
What changes in GTA Online? GTA Online will become a standalone title on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It will be free to play for PlayStation players for the first 3 months. This feature was already known before.
New is that GTA Online will undergo some revisions:
- In the next-gen version, players will be able to skip the story mode of GTA 5. Afterwards, there will be a new tutorial specifically for GTA Online.
- New players will be able to directly access the career builder and choose one of four businesses: Biker, Executive, Nightclub Owner, or Gunrunner.
- Additionally, there will be a full set of GTA dollars to buy an endgame vehicle right away.
Owners of the version for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S will also gain access to the new “Hao’s Specials Works” shop, where they can upgrade 5 completely new and 5 old cars to make the most out of the power of the new consoles.
