Open PvP is often a problem in an MMORPG. This often leads to griefing, meaning that more powerful players repeatedly attack beginners. Currently, the MMORPG Worlds Adrift suffers from exactly this problem.
Griefing in the Starter Zones
What is the problem? In Worlds Adrift, players who are somewhat experienced and have actually left the beginner zone return to this area. There, they ambush newcomers and repeatedly attack them due to the open PvP system. New entrants have very little chance of leaving the beginner zone to get better.
Players are furious. Of course, this negatively affects the mood among players. Especially newcomers quickly lose interest and prefer to quit rather than be constantly attacked.
Developers promise improvement. The development team at Bossa Studios is aware that this problem exists. Apparently, there are already several ideas and plans on how to ensure fairness here. However, the developers have not yet discussed what these plans look like.
They explain that Worlds Adrift is still in the early access phase and that it is simply normal for such problems to occur. However, they definitely want to provide newcomers with a pleasant entry into the game, which is why the developers want to address this problem as quickly as possible.
The MMORPG Worlds Adrift with Spatial-OS technology can now be played via Steam.
