In our greeting from the editorial team, we look back on 2019 and show how Christmas 2019 will be on the website.
The year in online gaming was: In 2019, online gamers had to seek out the fun and great moments themselves.
Looking back on the year, it is hard not to see the cliffs that rise out of the individual months: There were some rough weeks, with big games that didn’t really convince.
From many projects that MMORPG fans looked forward to, nothing was heard in 2019, or one had to watch from a distance as it goes in Korea and Russia with the thing one wants to play for years.
Some wonderful games are slowly running out of steam and getting less and less new content or are even being completely shut down.
But complaining does not help.

Online gaming in 2019 was not a campfire around which the whole village gathered to dance and sing folk songs: There was not one big game that everyone loved. It was like in real life: Everyone withdrew to their little apartment and celebrated alone.
Nevertheless, I had many highlights in my gaming year 2019, and I am sure most of you feel the same.
They are personal moments, a quest in an old game, a good match in a shooter, the quote of a friend in Teamspeak that comes to mind as I look back on the year. Or one even discovers a gem like Teamfight Tactics or Remnant: From the Ashes almost for oneself and can then smile tiredly when everyone else complains: There is once again nothing new to play.
This was the year for MeinMMO: We implemented many changes on MeinMMO that we had wanted to do for a long time. In summer, the new homepage launched, which allows you to set up MeinMMO yourself now.
In the last weeks, we set up a new comment system on our website. We also have a dark mode for MeinMMO, in case you haven’t discovered that yet.
We will continue to work on these features in 2020 and expand and improve the systems based on your suggestions.

Throughout the year, we gained many new authors. Alexander Leitsch, who built a large fan site for Guild Wars 2, is now a permanent editor responsible for MMORPGs. You can see that online RPGs are taking more space on our site again.
The two freelancers Noah and Leya have also secured permanent contracts: Noah is now not only an enthusiastic Pokémon trainer, but also a trainee. Leya is a brand manager and works from the Webedia office in Munich.
The freelance authors Eilyn, Benedikt, Philipp, Maik, and Larissa joined the team in the past months, making our website more colorful and diverse as expert authors.
Additionally, Jürgen will soon return, who is enjoying his parental leave, waiting to fall in love with a new game again.

For us at MeinMMO, 2019 was consistently a long and successful year. We have continued to grow at a high level and hope to provide good reading material to the many new readers discovering our site every day.
An important new game for MeinMMO in 2019 was Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. For some of our readers and our boss Dawid Hallmann, the highlight of the gaming year 2019.

It is important to us at MeinMMO that there is a friendly and respectful tone in the comments and in our community so that we can preserve what has distinguished the site from the beginning: a factual discussion about the games we play so passionately, on equal terms.
We would like to sincerely thank the many readers who have contributed over the years with their comments to making MeinMMO more interesting, friendly, and exciting!
Christmas 2019 with MeinMMO
This is how Christmas will be for us: We will continue to be there for you at Christmas and cover the most important news. We will have a small rotation during Christmas, so our authors can be with their families and friends, but we can still provide current news.
We have also prepared a variety of specials, some of which give personal insights, others are critical, and some are just meant to be fun. We hope you enjoy Christmas at MeinMMO.
We sincerely wish you readers a Merry Christmas, a lot of fun in the online game of your choice, and a Happy New Year 2020.
