What kind of game is this? Gray Zone Warfare is a tactical shooter with extraction mechanics and both PvE and PvP, set to be released in Early Access on Steam in 2024.

- You roam as a member of a private military company in the fictional Southeast Asian state “Lamang” and try to complete missions in teams of four.

- Lamang is inspired by the landscapes of Laos, featuring tropical rainforests and monsoon forests. Accordingly, you will not encounter an abandoned Eastern European city in Gray Zone Warfare, but rather a jungle.
Overall, Gray Zone Warfare is characterized by realism and relies on a corresponding graphic style, real weapon models, and credible movement sequences. You can also sustain injuries that cause bleeding wounds or affect your limbs and organs. This makes the shooter particularly interesting for fans of Escape From Tarkov.
Currently, Gray Zone Warfare is hosting a closed alpha test, to which Twitch streamers and YouTubers have been invited. During the test, only PvEvP is playable. In the future, you will be able to choose between PvEvP, PvP, and PvE in various modes.

What sets Gray Zone Warfare apart? In other extraction shooters like Escape from Tarkov, you lose your gear and loot when you die. The raid ends with your death. In Gray Zone Warfare, you have the chance to retrieve your inventory.
A raid has no time limit. In each run, you start in your base, which lies outside the critical zone. Then you board a helicopter and fly into the combat area with a cutscene. Upon arriving at the landing point, you exit the heli and traverse the map.
If you die, you can reboard the helicopter and walk back to your place of death. Your body, including all your gear, remains where the fatal shot hit you. So, if no other player has pocketed your belongings, you can easily pick up the lost items again.
Additionally, a raid in Gray Zone Warfare has no time limit. You can continually enter the fray and, like in a survival game, recover your gear. There is also no time limit when completing quests and extracting.
