How are specific graphics cards doing? Three months ago, you paid 2099 euros for the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti. As of now, you pay 1849 euros for the graphics card. That is 11.96% less than in January.
One month ago, you paid 1566 euros for the Radeon RX 6800 XT. Currently, you are paying “only” 1099 euros. Here you have a savings of 29.82% compared to January.
A discount of 10 to 30% may sound great to many users. Depending on the starting price, that can easily mean several hundred euros. Nevertheless, you should not hastily buy a graphics card right now, as prices are still very high.
Even in 2022, graphics cards are still too expensive
How do the prices compare? The prices are still significantly above the manufacturer’s suggested retail price in March. An example of the price is the RTX 3080. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price is 729 euros, while the cheapest offer is currently 1179 euros. This puts the price more than 60% above the MSRP (via geizhals.de).
Are the current prices worth it? Currently, it is not advisable for anyone to buy a graphics card at these prices, even though they are starting to fall.
