18:57: Stadia is closely linked with YouTube. With the press of a button, viewers can join a YouTuber’s ongoing game.
18:55: Google opens its own gaming studio “Stadia Games and Entertainment.”
18:50: Stadia has artificial intelligence and is also supposed to be able to learn. This technology should make it easier for developers to create new game worlds.
18:49: Players should be able to share their game saves with others via a simple link.
18:46: There is still no announcement on when Stadia will have its launch.
18:38: Google shows a gameplay demonstration of Stadia:
18:36: Google Stadia will enable cross-play. It won’t matter on which device someone is playing. It should also be possible to play split-screen multiplayer games without performance drops.
18:33: Technically, Stadia will support 4K resolution and 60 frames per second. In the future, 8K and 120 fps should even be possible. To implement this, Google will work with Unity, Epic Games, Havoc, and Crytek.
18:31 – Google Stadia gets a controller: With Stadia comes a wireless controller that connects via Wi-Fi to the game. The game is streamed directly to YouTube.
18:19 – This is how Google Stadia will work: When someone watches a trailer for a game on YouTube, a button “Play Now” appears. Now, the viewer of the trailer can play the game instantly. No download is needed.
Within five seconds, even large games like “Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey” should start in the browser. This should work across desktop, laptop, tablet, console, or smartphone/tablet.
A Google Chromecast stick should be sufficient to utilize the features.
18:14: Google has the vision to bring all gaming communities together. People who enjoy watching content about games, like on YouTube, players, and also the developers. The Google platform “Stadia” should make this possible.
18:12: The streaming platform will be named “Stadia”.
18:09: Google’s CEO, Sundar Pichai, explains the vision for “Project Stream”. Google aims to reach everyone with its platform – not just gamers. The streaming platform should work on every platform.
