Google has announced new information about the upcoming Stadia project in a live stream today. Read here about the price, release date, and games for Google Stadia. The 28 launch games in 2019 include The Division 2 and Destiny 2. You can pre-order the Stadia Founder’s Edition for €129.
Where will Stadia launch first? In the “Stadia Connect” live stream via YouTube, Google revealed today that Google Stadia will be available in 14 countries at launch – including Germany. Google Stadia will launch in November 2019.
The information was already known from a leak that appeared shortly before on June 6.

What is the cost of Stadia? You can subscribe to Stadia Pro for €9.99 per month and gain access to the games included in the subscription.
There is also a free version known as “Stadia Base,” which allows you to play purchased games via Stadia.

Exclusive titles: With Get Packed (Co-op game), GYLT (Puzzle-Adventure), and Orcs Must Die! 3 (Tower-Defense), there are currently three titles announced exclusively for Google Stadia.
Update 10/4/2019: Rockstar Games has announced Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC and for Google Stadia. Red Dead Redemption 2 is expected to be directly available at the launch of Google Stadia in November.
Update 10/9/2019: Bethesda and id Software have announced that Dooms Eternal will be delayed to March 20, 2020 (via Twitter).
When Destiny 2 comes, it will include all content. The base game, the Forsaken expansion, the next expansion Shadowkeep, and all DLCs that have been released in between. The collection is only included in Stadia Pro.
Players will be able to transfer their characters from Xbox One and PC to Stadia. Whether this will also be possible from PS4 is not known.
The Division 2 will be released in its standard version on Stadia. Nothing is known yet about upcoming DLCs or expansions.
Both the base version and Stadia Pro allow you to buy and play games directly. With Stadia Pro, you even get some exclusive offers.
Games that have been purchased can always be played through Stadia, even if the Pro subscription expires.
How does Stadia work?
Stadia is a streaming service for gamers. You can play on Stadia Pro in 4K resolution and at 60FPS on any device, such as:
- Desktop PC
- Tablets
- Televisions
- Smartphones, starting with the Pixel 3
You simply connect to Stadia and click on “Play.” A console is not necessary.
No further downloads or ownership of the actual games is required. As long as your subscription is active, you have access to the games.
You only need an internet connection with about 35 MBit/s to achieve the best quality. With lower performance, such as 10 MBit/s, you should still be able to reach at least 720p at 60FPS according to Google:
