For about a month, the MMORPG Gloria Victis has been available on Steam in an Early Access version.
Time for the developers to take a look back and see how this month has gone. In the 30 days, around 30,000 copies of the game have been sold. The team now wants to use these additional revenues to hire more developers, allowing them to work more effectively and quickly on updates. So far, 10 updates have been released, which have improved the balancing in battles, increased the stability of the game and the servers, and introduced anti-cheat mechanics.
The Future Brings
For the future, there are already some plans. For example, they want to revise the character models and enhance the animations using motion capturing. Additionally, they are currently working on female player models. More factions are also in development, and soon the main continent will be opened for players. So far, the playable area is limited to a large group of islands.
Siege engines, mounted combat, as well as navigation and naval battles are also in development, just like the housing system and dynamic weather. Fishing, playing, and emotes are also set to make their way into the MMORPG soon. Moreover, work is continuing on expanding the servers. The plan is to have one large server per region.
The team is also proud to have finally moved into their own office building after previously working in various locations. The MMORPG Gloria Victis is slowly but surely taking shape and could develop into an interesting online role-playing game.
