If you complete certain challenges, you will earn cool skins in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. If you really push yourself, you can even score gold and platinum skins. But this hot skin here outshines them all! Unfortunately, it is not available.
In my research, I keep seeing videos of players going completely crazy during a match because they have unlocked the platinum skins of a weapon category or even the even more challenging Damascus skins.
However, a player recently showcased a skin on reddit that makes even the metallic flexers turn green with envy. It wasn’t entirely intentional, but it definitely looks cool!
Hot skin discovered in Modern Warfare
What can we see here? Probably the hottest skin in CoD history. A player spawns with a burning weapon and initially doesn’t even know what’s going on.
Once he gets his bearings, he immediately goes on the hunt to try out his new fire skin. Although it looks really good, the running torch unfortunately hinders aiming, and he can’t hold out for long. However, this is sometimes the case with platinum skins too.
How did this happen? It was probably a chain of circumstances that ignited the fire on the barrel.
- The player was taken out
- His opponent held a Molotov cocktail at the end of the kill cam
- The player selects a new loadout
- He confirms the class at the moment he spawns again
This caused the game to transfer the fire animation of the Molotov to the weapon. Unfortunately, replicating this isn’t going to be easy.

What do the players think about it? Users on reddit are discussing in the thread how much they would pay for such a skin and are enthusiastic about the good look, although it is actually a mistake.

Many players find the skin awesome and suggest that something like this could definitely come with some improvements.
Will there be something like this in Modern Warfare? The chances are rather slim. The skin goes far beyond what other skins offer in terms of craziness.
Modern Warfare heavily focuses on realistic optics for weapons and skins. A burning weapon would currently stand out significantly.
Who knows in which direction MW will evolve when it has been on the market longer and the air has somewhat cleared. Maybe in a few months we’ll see skins from “Dark Matter” or even burning weapons. A crossbow is already on its way.
