In the Dreaming City of the Forsaken expansion for Destiny 2, mysterious cat statues have been found that provide you with the latest weapons and armor pieces – if you have a small gift for them.
On Reddit and YouTube, numerous players are currently reporting about Egyptian-like cat statues that are hidden throughout the Dreaming City, the new endgame hub of the Forsaken expansion. If you gift these cats, you receive random stylish weapons and armor pieces from the current loot pool of the Dreaming City in return.

A Small Gift – What You Need for the Cat Statues
Gain access to the Dreaming City: To secure the weapons from the cat statues, you first need to have unlocked the new area “The Dreaming City.” You can learn how to gain access to the Dreaming City here.
Find a small gift: Once you have permanent access to the Dreaming City, you now need a small gift. You can then exchange this at the cat statue for your loot.
Because the corresponding item is actually called “A Small Gift.” It drops randomly from defeated enemies and in various activities of the Dreaming City – public events seem to currently be a good source for this.
Once you have received the item (you will find it in your inventory), you just need to find a cat statue where you can claim your loot. If you try to interact with the cat without the “small gift,” it will tell you that something is missing.
The Locations: We have linked a video with the current locations of the cats here for you. However, more statues will certainly be added. We will keep this guide updated until all locations have been discovered.
Note: The final number of these statues depicting a sitting cat is not yet known. Because the Dreaming City is supposed to change its face in a three-week cycle. So, it is possible that more statues will be revealed over time.
