In Gigantic, the beta has recently started. Here is the link for the download.
In the beta, PC players can play together with Xbox One players, provided that PC players use the game via the Windows 10 Game App. However, the developers may also plan a cross-platform feature for regular PC players.
Gigantic is a colorful MOBA where you have to defeat a hostile giant beast with the help of your own monster in fast-paced battles. But that’s not the only special feature of Gigantic. Rather, both console players on the Xbox One and PC gamers via Windows 10 app can compete together and against each other.
Is the regular PC version being left out?
According to the official FAQ, this cross-platform play does not apply to players who install and play Gigantic via Perfect World’s game client ARC. These players can only compete against other ARC players, splitting PC players into two camps: Win-10 users and everyone else who has a different version of Windows or does not like the app.
However, the website PCGamesn inquired with Perfect World, as the beta of the ARC version is reportedly not yet available. Interestingly, the response sounded as if there might actually be a solution for cross-platform play between ARC, Win-10, and Xbox planned.
“Details about the ARC launch, including information on the date and cross-platform play, will come at a later time.”
Therefore, there could be NEW information about cross-platform play, because so far it was clear that there is no cross-platform play with the ARC version. It remains exciting.
