In Pokémon GO, a new event about gifts is starting soon. You also get the chance for Shiny Mobai.
What kind of event is this? The event is all about friends’ gifts. Additionally, the 7 km eggs will change while the event is running in Pokémon GO.
When does the event start? The event starts this Monday, on August 5th at 10 PM. There will be bonuses for a whole 2 weeks until the event ends on August 19th.
All information about the Gift Event in August at Pokémon GO
What are the bonuses? The bonuses allow you to open more gifts. Here’s an overview:
- You can open up to 30 gifts a day (otherwise only 20)
- You can carry up to 20 gifts in your bag (otherwise 10)
- 7 km eggs need only 2 km to hatch throughout the event. Accordingly, they also look like 2 km eggs
- Shiny Mobai will hatch from the eggs at the start of the event
What is known about the Shiny? Mobai is currently found in 2 km and 7 km eggs. So you have the chance for the baby in two egg pools.
You will easily recognize Shiny Mobai, as it has red branches instead of green. Additionally, it is a bit lighter than the normal Mobai.
The evolution Mogelbaum also spawns more frequently in the wild, but the Pokémon will likely not be found as Shiny, like many other evolutions of baby Pokémon.
What do the increased gifts mean? More gifts mean more XP. You can now interact with up to 50 friends only through gifts, provided you don’t send gifts multiple times a day.
