For a long time, players in Ghost Recon Wildlands were searching for the Yeti. Now El Yeti has been found and killed. Is this the solution to the riddle?
Even in the first days after the release of Ghost Recon Wildlands, players found clues about a mysterious creature. It is said to reside in the mountains and kill innocent hikers.
After weeks of searching, the “Yeti” has finally been found and killed in the mountains. But does the story of the monster end here?
Blood traces reveal it – find and kill the Yeti
To find the Yeti, you need to travel to the mountains, interact with a stone, and then survive. However, it is not a monster as one would imagine a Yeti, but rather a disguised man: “El Yeti”. We explain step by step in this guide how to find this Yeti. Further down you will also find a guide video.
First, you need to travel to Inca Camina . In the western area, above Nevado LLamiru, you will find a river. Head to the point marked in the following screenshots.
- Once you arrive at this point, head directly into the river.
- Stand so that your gaze points towards Nuevo Mundo .
- When you look towards Nuevo Mundo, you need to examine the stones on the left riverbank.
- One of these stones has multiple blood traces as well as a bloody handprint on it.
- Walk directly over to this stone.
- A possible interaction option will appear that allows you to inspect the stone.
- If you inspect the stone, a short video sequence featuring your character will be shown.
- Afterwards, the Yeti will appear in the distance (to the left of the stone on a mountain) and will already have you in his sights.
- Be careful, as initial reports say that El Yeti kills you with one shot.
- He stands as a sniper on a distant mountain, so you should seek cover behind a stone.
- Once you have killed the Yeti, run to the spot where his corpse lies.
- There you can now inspect the corpse.
- A further short video sequence will follow, in which your character takes photos of the Yeti.
- The discovery apparently secures you the Ghillie Suit in Ghost Recon Wildlands. Players Dirt Gnasty, A Wild Hunter, and yokochan09 were the first to make this discovery.

A sniper in the mountains? Is that really all, Ubisoft?
Some players are disappointed with the latest Yeti discovery. A simple sniper in the mountains with a camouflage suit is not what the community hoped for as a “big target of the monster hunt”.
It is currently hard to say whether this was really the grand finale of the Yeti hunt, or if the developers still have an ace up their sleeve to surprise the community. We will probably find out when the sixth week of challenges starts. Yeti missions have been found for the sixth week in a leak.
