The new Ghost Recon Wildlands update 3.0 brings the live season challenges to the game. Unique rewards await you!
One of the most significant changes in the new GRW update 3.0 is the live season challenge. These tasks reward you with up to three unique contents per season. The missions you need to complete are partially suitable for solo players but also for co-op groups. We will show you how these seasons work in Ghost Recon Wildlands.
Seasons in Ghost Recon Wildlands
A part of the future plans for Ghost Recon Wildlands involves the introduced live season challenges. The first season will start on April 18 and can reward you with unique contents if you participate.
The seasons are meant to give you new contents regularly in Wildlands. Each season typically lasts 6 weeks and has its own theme. In the main menu, you can view the current challenges and progress.
To find new missions located in different areas on the map, you must complete special instructions in a designated order. To activate the challenges or update your statistics, you must be online. However, you can play the mission offline in the same game session.
Each week, a total of five new missions will be available to you. These missions will show you new sections of Operation Kingslayer. They are divided into:
- Three solo challenges that can also be played in co-op mode. Player stats are tracked separately.
- A challenge that you must solve with members of the special forces. Special Forces can be created or joined in the Ghost Recon Network.
- A community challenge where the help of all players is required to achieve a common goal.
For each challenge, there is a reward for you. These are limited to a maximum of three rewards per season. During a season, each challenge is available for one week and is updated every Wednesday at 11:00 AM. The roadmap for the upcoming seasons in Ghost Recon Wildlands looks like this:
Ghost Recon Wildlands – Season 1 (April 18 – May 26)
Season one in GRW deals with the rise and fall of Unidad. From the depicted mission briefing, it is apparent that Unidad will become a greater threat and apparently prepare a larger operation. It is your task to gather information about this and take necessary actions against them.
