Ubisoft has announced the launch times for the tactical shooter Ghost Recon Breakpoint. In Germany, it starts at midnight on all platforms, and those who want to can start playing in just a few hours.
When does Early Access start? Ubisoft will release Ghost Recon Breakpoint in several phases for different platforms and regions. After the Open Beta is over, it will soon be in release.
The earliest start in Europe is 0:00 midnight on October 1st, so already tonight for players with Early Access.
Who gets to start early? All versions from the Gold Edition onward will get Early Access, namely:
- Gold Edition
- Ultimate Edition
- Wolves Collector’s Edition
These versions are also a bit more expensive. The Gold Edition costs about €99.99 in the Ubisoft Store, while the Standard Edition only costs €59.99.
All the mentioned versions receive early access for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Uplay. Players who want to play Breakpoint via the Epic Store will have to wait until 12 noon on October 1st.
When is the regular launch? Those who do not want to get the more expensive version of Breakpoint will have access starting October 4th. Again, the start time is unified for all platforms, except for the Epic Store, where players can begin at midnight.
When does the Pre-Load start? To allow you to download Breakpoint in advance, there is a Pre-Load. According to information from Ubisoft at the time of writing, it has already begun on all platforms. You can simply start it through your respective shop.
How large is the Pre-Load? On the official website of Ghost Recon Breakpoint, it was also revealed how large the Preload will be:
- For Xbox One – 40.1 GB
- For PS4 – 47.3 GB
- For PC (Uplay and Epic) – 41.36 GB
On the Xbox One, there is also a 13.5 GB Day-1 patch, while on the PlayStation 4, there is a 10 GB Day-1 patch.
Breakpoint – can you play already?
This is how it works even earlier: The times mentioned above apply to digital pre-orders and digital versions of Breakpoint. However, Ubisoft announced that the servers will open as early as September 30th at 1:00 PM.
Those who pre-order a physical copy and have activated it should already be able to play since the servers opened, according to Ubisoft. Additionally, some players report that they can already play using a VPN, as is possible with other games.
A VPN communicates in this case to Ubisoft’s servers that you are located in a region that is already able to play (like New Zealand). However, this is said to currently cause crashes and is not favored by many providers, which is why we currently advise against it.
