Recently, Ubisoft announced that the major update for the online shooter Ghost Recon Breakpoint will be postponed. But at the end of the month, it will finally arrive. Players can expect significant changes.
What does the next update bring? The biggest novelty is the Immersive Mode. This fundamentally changes the game that flopped at release.
Previously, it was essential to constantly search for new gear. If an enemy dropped a weapon, you had to pick up the loot like in Destiny or Diablo and check if it improved your gear score. With a higher gear score, you could face the more challenging missions and enemies.
This completely changes with the Immersive Mode. Gear score will no longer matter. You pick up a weapon and may find that it suits your playstyle well. Then you simply keep it and use it as long as you want. During this time, you can upgrade and customize the weapon. You no longer have to constantly search for better loot.
Plenty of Customizations
What else does the update bring? Besides the Immersive Mode, you can also play in a Custom Mode. This allows you to make many adjustments, including the health and stamina of your character, set how severely a hit wounds you, and customize the HUD to your preferences.
These customization options are also available: There are several new features coming with the mode. They include:
- If you reload and there are bullets in the magazine, they are gone.
- You can limit the amount of bandages you can carry.
- In the new private mode, you will only encounter story characters and your teammates.
- It is possible to access Maria’s shop at bivouacs or restrict access to the Erewhon base.
- You adjust the difficulty level according to your preferences.
- Decide whether there should be a gear level or not.
Can I continue to play as before? Ubisoft does not force anyone to use the Immersive or Custom Mode of Ghost Recon Breakpoint.
If you enjoyed the online shooter as it was and liked searching for loot to improve yourself, simply choose the Regular Mode. In this mode, Ghost Recon Breakpoint plays just like before.
You can also switch between the settings at any time.

When is the update coming out? You won’t have to wait long anymore. The major update will be released on March 24 for Ghost Recon Breakpoint.
