The latest killer “Ghost Face” is now available in Dead by Daylight. We reveal what the killer can do and what you can look forward to. We show you the abilities, costs, and perks.
As of today (06/18/2019), the latest patch for Dead by Daylight is live. The update mainly brought the new chapter “Ghost Face” and with it a brand new killer, which is now available for purchase as a DLC.
We will tell you what the new killer can do and why you should fear him.
What can Ghost Face do? Ghost Face is a fairly versatile killer who combines stealth elements from the Wraith and the Pig.
He can switch to a cloaked position where he has no terror radius. In this position, Ghost Face can “stalk” survivors to build a debuff that makes survivors particularly vulnerable for a while.
Additionally, Ghost Face can crouch to hide his red stain (which survivors might see as a warning) and peek around corners to secretly observe survivors and build the aforementioned debuff. Survivors can escape it if they look at Ghost Face quickly enough to cancel the stalking process.
These are Ghost Face’s perks: The new killer Ghost Face comes with three unique perks as usual. Initially, only Ghost Face can use these perks, but they can also be unlocked for other killers at levels 30, 35, and 40 in the bloodweb.
- I’m All Ears: Activates aura reading. If survivors perform a hasty action outside of your terror radius, their aura will be shown for 6 seconds. This effect has a cooldown of 60/50/40 seconds.
- Thrilling Tremors: If you pick up a survivor, all generators that are not currently being repaired will be blocked by the Entity for 16 seconds. This effect can only occur once every 100/80/60 seconds.
- Furtive Chase: A survivor becomes your Obsession. When you hook your Obsession, you gain a token, up to a maximum of 2/3/4 tokens. Each token reduces your terror radius during a chase by 4 meters. If a survivor rescues your Obsession from the hook, the rescuer becomes the new Obsession. You lose all tokens if your Obsession is killed or sacrificed.
There was a lot of criticism directed at Ghost Face beforehand, as he was considered far too weak. The developers have since provided substantial buffs.
Is there also a survivor? The latest chapter is smaller than previous chapters. This means there is neither a new map nor a survivor. Only Ghost Face with his perks is included, which also explains the reduced price of the chapter.
How much does the DLC cost? The DLC “Dead by Daylight – Ghost Face” costs €4.99. Unlike many other contents, Ghost Face cannot be unlocked with in-game currency. This is the case for most licensed characters. His perks can still be unlocked if you find them in the shrine.
