The German YouTuber Simex became popular with Fortnite: Battle Royale , but he always causes controversies. A new video on his channel has ignited the discussion: he throws a bag of dog poop at a cyclist in Spain. Simex wanted 25,000 likes for his video. He got that, but there were a lot of comments about how embarrassing his appearance was. In the end, he disabled the like function.
Who is Simex? The oldest video on Simex’s channel is from 2015, and in the following years, he dealt with FIFA. He discovered the online shooter Fortnite in May 2018: just like many other YouTubers, “Fortnite Battle Royale” brought significant growth to his channel. By June 2018, Simex’s channel suddenly grew by 100,000 subscribers. In the months before, his channel had either stagnated or grown slowly.
Simex had his biggest successes in Fortnite with videos titled aggressively, such as
“I STREAMSNIPED a little boy until he COMPLETELY FREAKED OUT and ENDED the STREAM.”
In general, it seems that the “stream sniping” particularly appeals to Simex: when stream sniping, one intentionally tracks down a streamer in Fortnite, hunts, and kills them.
Since you can see live where the respective players are located, hunting becomes easy. Simex enjoyed hunting children or his ex-girlfriend and had fun watching them get upset in their own streams about losing to him.
Simex was criticized for his content by other German Fortnite influencers: MontanaBlack was annoyed by a video of Simex in which he wanted to help a “boy with the CORONAVIRUS” in Fortnite. MontanaBlack said it was absolutely cringe-worthy. The video was later deleted (via twitter).
Influencer couple moves to Barcelona – during Corona
This video is now being criticized: On March 2, Simex uploaded a 13-minute video titled: “Finally… We are moving to this country!”
The video shows Simex and his girlfriend, Elisabeth Sanchez, who also works as an influencer, flying to Barcelona. Before departure, they pack the dog Taro into a too-small bag.
Upon arriving in Barcelona, the viewer accompanies the influencer couple while shopping and taking a nighttime stroll through the city.
Simex seems to be very proud of various things throughout the video:
- of the new €3,000 camera
- of his beautiful girlfriend
- that one can afford their own house – he proudly shows a backyard terrace
- even of his dog’s poop, which he finds particularly beautiful
At one point, Simex confidently states: “Life played through.” He urges the viewers to like the video vigorously. At 25,000 likes, there will be the next one.
This is the controversial part of the video: When the dog goes to the toilet on the streets of Barcelona, the poop is packed into a bag and disposed of, but then Simex has an idea: this is the dog’s first poop in Barcelona, we have to do something special.
He urges his girlfriend to throw the bag of poop at a passerby. But she just walks away, so Simex does it himself, throwing the bag at a cyclist and then celebrating that he hits.

These are more incidents in the video: The poop throw is the low point of the video. Other incidents that upset people in the comments:
- The couple traveled to Spain without a valid Corona test, and Simex is happy about his luck of not being properly checked – apparently, they only had rapid tests but should have provided a PCR test
- While shopping, they let a shopping cart go and are proud of not getting caught
- Then Simex kicks orange trees and is pleased that oranges fall down – he plans to make juice out of them
Are there positive scenes as well? Yes, there are. Simex wants to buy a Fortnite toy in a supermarket, but his girlfriend forbids him to do so. He loses a short argument about it badly. The reasoning that it is “for Fortnite” and “for the cringe” does not hold up.
His girlfriend instructs him to buy it later and raffle it off. Shopping is more important right now.
Simex murmurs regretfully into the camera: “Guys, I can’t get it.”
“Shame for YouTube Germany” – Likes and dislikes hidden
This is how the reactions are: According to the site Mads, the video had 260,000 views with 24,000 likes but also 14,000 dislikes. In the meantime, the “likes/dislikes” have been disabled and can no longer be counted.
Even though the video received many positives, the comments are mostly negative. In the comments, it says:
- That is cringe-worthy
- One says he counted the crimes, but there were so many that he lost track – the video is a shame for YouTube Germany
- It is predicted that Simex might have a hard time making a living if YouTube is no longer running
This is how other influencers react: The streamer Rewinside has already had a feud with Simex. He savored and dryly dissected Simex’s video and punished every mistake (via rewinside).
Trymacs is one of the biggest Twitch streamers in Germany. He watches the video in disbelief. He then asks his Twitch chat whether they believe that Simex is really that stupid to throw something with poop at someone and film it, or if it is a staged scandal.
Trymacs seems genuinely surprised that 84% of the viewers say: No, he is really that stupid.
The incident with Simex recalls a vacation trip by Twitch streamer MontanaBlack. He also became popular through Fortnite and was visiting a warmer country where he didn’t behave properly:
