Daniel “Taddl” Tjarks was one of the big stars of the early German YouTube scene and later also successful on Twitch and as a musician. In a new video, he now says how much he has harmed people in his environment over the years and says goodbye to his online persona.
Who is this about? Daniel “Taddl” Tjarks became known as a YouTuber and musician. Between 2018 and 2021, he also streamed regularly on Twitch. In the past, he was known for his “What the Fact” videos and Let’s Plays of Minecraft. Recently, however, Taddl has mainly been active as a musician under the stage name tj_beastboy.
Online, the content creator maintained a carefully crafted clean image, but he now wants to change that. In a YouTube video from July 14, 2024, he promises to tell the truth about himself.
“I have wrecked my life”
How should he really be? The content creator states that he has been working on his image since his teenage years. What others think of him has always been the most important thing to him. However, in reality, he is a “notorious liar, impostor, and swindler.” He also believes he may have a narcissistic personality disorder.
Taddl says that the large discrepancy between his public persona and his actual behavior is “absolutely destructive” if one gets to know him better.
He reports how much his wife suffered from his behaviors, especially during her pregnancy and after the traumatic birth of their daughter. In the meantime, she even believed that he was consciously aiming to destroy her, according to the content creator.
Online, it is often said that his wife must be “the happiest person,” after all, she managed to “catch” the amazing Taddl. Reading something like that while suffering under the aforementioned person can worsen the situation, he explains.
Taddl states that despite his great success, he has “wrecked his life.”

What happens next? The content creator announces the end of his online persona “Taddl” and wants to take a break from the internet for now. There are no longer any contents on his YouTube account and Instagram profile. He still wants to make music, but for now, “just for himself.”
Whether and when he will upload anything again is currently unclear.
Taddl criticizes the idealization of influencers
Why is he making this video? Taddl addresses in his video the current wave of influencer scandals, which has already led to the preliminary career end of two German Twitch stars in 2024. The content creator sees something good in this, as people are finally beginning to see that influencers should not be idealized.
Unfortunately, according to Taddl, fans draw the wrong conclusions from the scandals: instead of realizing that influencers are just people too, many idealize their remaining favorites even more.
Taddl is a firm part of the childhood of many young adults as a Let’s Player of the “old guard” and as a member of the HipHop trio Dat Adam. However, he does not feel comfortable being celebrated now for having “no dirt on him.”
Therefore, Taddl has now decided to “expose” himself.
In his video, Taddl also admits to exchanging inappropriate messages with young fans. He emphasizes that the young women were of legal age, but as an influencer with a large reach, he exploited a power imbalance. He is ashamed of this.
