The German streamer JenNyan has been nominated for a very special highlight moment on Twitch. But she can’t really be happy about it, because it is a terribly embarrassing action.
What kind of streamer is she? JenNyan is one of the largest German-speaking Twitch streamers and is known for her humorous style, whether in Just Chatting or role-playing in GTA 5. However, the streamer does not shy away from addressing serious topics openly.
In her streams, JenNyan speaks High German, but she was born and raised in Leipzig. When she goes back home, the streamer slips into the Saxon dialect – sometimes to the amusement of her viewers (via YouTube).
Now JenNyan may receive an award for her language skills – but that makes her incredibly uncomfortable.
Of Wild “Tischern” and “Modchegiebschn”
What is she nominated for? Voting is currently underway for the StreamAwards 2024. This is an annual event hosted by the Twitch streamer Antonia “Reved” Staab, which awards special highlight moments on the streaming platform.
Awards are given for the best outburst, the best newcomer, and the best gaming moment. In the category “Best Cringe Moment,” however, voting is for the most uncomfortable moment on Twitch – and JenNyan is one of the lucky nominees.
What is this clip about? During a stream in June, JenNyan talked about how it might sound when two Saxons “get down to business.” Promptly, the streamer gave a little demonstration. This is rounded off by choking sounds from a friend streamer in the background.

What does the streamer say about her nomination? Looking back, JenNyan finds the whole thing incredibly uncomfortable. After all, it’s one thing to fool around spontaneously – but a completely different thing to have to watch it again later. The streamer makes a face and can hardly look at it.
But it gets worse: During the StreamAwards themselves, the nominated stream clips will also be presented again in front of an audience. JenNyan fears: “I can’t go to the Stream Awards. I can’t sit at that table and watch it – on a screen.”
This is in stark contrast to the mischievous joy that it originally seemed to bring her to push it further.
Who is the competition? JenNyan has to compete against the pants-less LoL streamer Broeki and his fiancé, as well as against Reeze, the buddy of Papaplatte, who misunderstood the request for a photo entirely. Also up for election is an extremely unfortunate movement from football YouTuber ViscaBarca.
The voting remains open until November 16, 2024, at 8:00 PM on the StreamAwards website.
Unlike in previous years, community votes now only make up part of the voting system. Additionally, there will be two jury portions consisting of mods and long-time streamers.
