In League of Legends, the finals of the Spring Playoffs 2025 of the NCL League took place. Once again, 2 well-known teams faced each other. NORD had to play against Los Ratones to qualify for the EM. Despite a clear 3:0, the fans celebrated the exciting matches.
Who are the two teams? The NCL is a regional league in League of Legends, consisting of teams from Scandinavian and British countries. It has actually been quite insignificant, but since the team Los Ratones has existed, it has been watched by many fans. Los Ratones was founded by the streamer Caedrel and consists of solo-queue streamers or former professionals.

NORD and Los Ratones face each other again
How did the NCL 2025 Spring Playoffs go for both teams? Already in the second match of the season, Los Ratones and NORD faced each other. In the quarter-finals, NORD was able to win 2:0 against Los Ratones, who then had to fight through the losers bracket. In the semi-finals, NORD defeated The Rudy Sack and entered the finals.
In the losers bracket, Los Ratones fought back in 3 matches 3:0 and qualified for the finals against NORD. The teams had already faced each other in the NCL 2025 Winter Playoffs, where Los Ratones won 3:0.
Once again, Los Ratones won the finals and was able to take revenge for the quarter-finals. Although it was a 3:0, the matches were quite close.
An exciting encounter
How did the finals matches go? Los Ratones managed to win 3:0, but NORD did not give up the game without a fight. The first match was quite close. Until the 30th minute, the gold advantage was only slight on the side of Los Ratones. After an aggressive push on the lanes, they were able to secure a teamfight and thus the victory around the 32nd minute.
In the 2nd match, Los Ratones was able to secure a few kills and an advantage early on. Still, NORD resisted solidly, even though they had a gold disadvantage. However, Los Ratones pushed aggressively and at the 35th minute, they were ultimately able to finish the match.
The last match was significantly closer. NORD was able to secure a few kills early, and the gold advantage was a back and forth for both teams. NORD seemed to have the control in fights, but Los Ratones kept pushing lanes and objectives.
Starting from the 30th minute, NORD was able to build a good gold advantage and even secured the Baron just before the end. Baus calmly pushed the bot inhibitor and applied pressure. Around the 37th minute, a teamfight occurred at the Elder Dragon. NORD quickly took out Crownie, but Los Ratones won the teamfight with a strong ultimate from Nemesis on Azir. After the fight, they were able to finish the match despite a gold disadvantage.

What’s next for Los Ratones? By winning the NLC, Los Ratones secured a place at the EMEA Masters 2025. It is basically the EM of LoL, where several European teams meet. However, Caedrel himself doesn’t know what will happen after 2025: Twitch streamer founds his own team in LoL, wins the EM right away – but to proceed, he would need 20 million euros
