The vlogger Ronny Berger organized a cycling trip from Hamburg to Copenhagen. There are 8 other German content creators along, including Twitch streamer Maximilian “Trymacs” Stemmler. A curious incident occurred in a supermarket.
What kind of action is this? Ronny Berger started on September 2, 2023, together with some colleagues from the German Twitch and YouTube scene on a cycling tour. Over the 350 kilometers from Hamburg to Copenhagen, the chaotic crew was almost continuously live.
This resulted in nearly 100 hours of streams, providing plenty of entertainment for the viewers. Already in the first minutes, one of the participants lost his bicycle, and after a few meters, the group accidentally left the first participant behind.
A particularly curious incident occurred in a Danish supermarket: Ronny Berger took a bit too long in the restroom and was promptly locked in.
Streamers constantly come up with crazy actions to entertain their viewers.
Employee locks Berger in while he is still sitting
How did he manage that? The group took a break at a Danish shopping center after a long day on their bicycles. At Netto – the one with the black dog – they stocked up on snacks and consumed them in the parking lot.
Before they mounted their bikes again, a few people went to the restroom, as one does. However, Ronny Berger took a bit too long on the white throne, as in the meantime the store was closed, with the Twitch streamer on the wrong side of the door.
The employee who had locked the store was already on her way to go home when she was caught up by Ronny’s buddies. As the gate slowly goes up, one can hear the content creators whispering: Who has a few crowns to give the savior as a tip?
Ronny Berger shared the incident on Twitter/X:
The group is visibly embarrassed by the action and they apologize multiple times to the employee. However, Ronny takes the matter with humor: That would be an idea for a video as well, 24 hours in the supermarket.
On September 6, the content creators actually made it fully and relatively unscathed to Copenhagen (via Twitter).
Such IRL streams are currently extremely popular on Twitch, but a lot can go wrong:
Is cycling slowly becoming the new meta on Twitch? For Ronny Berger, this is not his first tour of this kind, and other influencers also like to pedal for content – or a good cause:
