As the developers explain, a lot of work has been done on The Cycle: Frontier since the first closed beta, adding new features. Now the second closed beta is set to begin.
What kind of game is this? The Cycle: Frontier is a PvPvE shooter from the German developer Yager. The game is free-to-play and mixes shooter gameplay with survival elements.
You land on an alien planet that aims to make you meet your doom as quickly as possible. Among other things, you have to face monsters, withstand the weather, and always keep an eye on your fellow players.
To survive, you collect resources and equipment so you can defend yourself. If you die, everything is lost. So you should prevent that.
So far, the game was quite small on Steam but drew attention on Twitch. After the end of the first beta, there is now another opportunity to get a taste of it.
When does Closed Beta 2 run? The second closed beta starts on March 16, 2022.
How do you participate? Anyone who wants to join the second closed beta must register via Steam or the Epic Games Store.

What to expect in the second beta of The Cycle: Frontier
The developers have mentioned several points that you can dive into during the second beta.
Among other things, there are now campaigns for the factions that you will encounter in the game. They provide you with equipment and deliver information about the game world.
Additionally, more enemies will be added – or rather: variants of existing foes. Among others, you will encounter new versions of the “Strider”, “Rattler”, “Crusher”, and “Marauder.”
Furthermore:
- The maps “Bright Sands” and “Crescent Falls” have been revised.
- The game world has been beautified and the graphics improved.
- The balancing of loot has also been adjusted.
- There will be bug fixes, changes to audio, and more.
