Persist Online is a new MMORPG from the creators of Tibia. Soon, the game is set to launch in Early Access on Steam, and now there’s a new trailer.
The German development studio CipSoft is already known among MMORPG fans for the Tibia released in 1997. After nearly 28 years, they are now venturing into a new online role-playing game, which is expected to start in Early Access on Steam.
Now, there’s a new trailer that shows you how to fight your way through the zombie-infested, post-apocalyptic world.
What does the trailer show? Above all, the trailer emphasizes again that in this MMORPG, you do not have to face elves or dragons with spells. Instead, Persist Online focuses on a contemporary, post-apocalyptic setting with zombies.
In the trailer, you can catch a glimpse of the gameplay that awaits you. Armed as well as possible, you fight your way through groups of zombies, various cities, clubs, or smaller forests.
You can arm yourself with, among others, pistols, assault rifles, or shotguns. In a brief scene in the trailer, we also see the character armed with a sword. It seems that you can also prepare for melee combat.
Besides zombies, there are also PvP and Friendly Fire
In addition to the zombies, which can chase you in large groups, other players can also become your enemies. Thus, in the open world of Persist Online, you can become involved in PvP battles at any time. Furthermore, there is supposed to be “Friendly Fire”.
At the end of the trailer, it is stated that you cannot save everyone, but you can loot. Competing with other players in between sounds quite rewarding.
You can also take a very brief look at the skill system. It seems that you can develop this further through your actions. In the trailer, we see the character chopping down a tree, thereby improving this ability.
