This evening, the winners of the German Video Game Award 2020 will be crowned. Here you can find out who is nominated for the DPC and where you can watch the award ceremony, for example on YouTube.
The following will be awarded: This year, a total prize pool of 590,000€ will be awarded for the best video games from German game developers.
The awards will be distributed in a total of 14 different categories:
- The winner of the “Best German Game” category will receive 100,000€
- Other categories will receive prize money between 30,000€ and 75,000€
- However, the “Best International Game” category is, for example, an unawarded prize
When is the award ceremony? The festive presentation of the awards cannot take place this year due to the situation surrounding the Corona virus during a gala before an audience. Instead, there will be a special stream:
- The stream for the award ceremony begins today, April 27, at 19:30.
