A new crossover is coming to Monster Hunter World. Soon you will be hunting monsters in Astera with Geralt of Rivia, the witcher from the RPG giant The Witcher.
There will be a new crossover event with the creators of the RPG giant The Witcher 3, CD Project Red. A lot of effort has been put into this, as the developers of Monster Hunter World assured during the announcement of the collaboration.
The Witcher 3 is the last installment of an RPG franchise loved by fans. It is one of the largest RPGs in recent years and is based on a Polish book series. It revolves around Geralt of Rivia, a witcher whose job is to hunt monsters.
Thus, Geralt fits perfectly into the world of Monster Hunter World.
The crossover between Monster Hunter World and The Witcher 3
This will be included in the crossover: In a reveal stream, scenes from Monster Hunter World were shown featuring Geralt in full witcher gear. Thus, there will likely be a proper armor and a skin.
Additionally, specially designed quests are supposed to come.
Furthermore, recordings have been announced by Geralt’s original voice actors in languages like German, English, and French specifically for the crossover.

The crossover is supposed to
“provide a new gameplay experience, where the RPG mechanics of The Witcher 3 will be mixed with the game systems of Monster Hunter World.”
More information will follow in a later announcement. A release is planned for spring 2019.

Besides the crossover, many other contents have been announced, such as a major expansion named Iceborne for autumn 2019. Furthermore, more events in Monster Hunter World are supposed to follow in the near future.
