The community and content creators of Genshin Impact keep coming up with something new: This time, YouTuber Tony “Tony To” Ga Had hosted a PvP event in the game’s endgame dungeon. MyMMO reveals how it was held.
In Genshin Impact, there is usually no PvP content; the game is entirely focused on PvE. Even in the endgame dungeon, the winding abyss (Abyss), there are no official leaderboards regarding time or player damage output.
YouTuber Tony To nevertheless created a PvP event, the “Golden Creator Cup: Pyro Puppet Prix,” in which various other content creators and commentators participated.
Who is Tony To? Tony To regularly posts content and meme videos about Genshin Impact. However, he mostly shows how strong individual characters are when you invest time and money into the game.
On his YouTube channel, Tony To published the PvP event, which was commented on by player Zanto and Genshin YouTuber xf3 while the participants competed against each other.
Who are the participants of the event? Four content creators for Genshin Impact participated in the Golden Creator Cup and formed two teams:
- Team Baron
- IWinToLose Gaming
- Windy
- Team Guoba
- Sawa
- Crit
Each of them uploads showcases of characters and their damage potential. Some videos are only a few seconds long, while others include comprehensive analyses and comparisons.
This is how the PvP event in Genshin Impact unfolded
In the PvP event, the 2 teams, each consisting of two members, were to compete against each other. They had to complete the entire twelfth floor of the winding abyss as quickly as possible.
The twelfth floor consists of 3 rooms, each containing 2 different sections. Each team member had to complete one section per room, making a total of three attempts.
During this, the individual team members competed against each other in a race against time. The team that could complete the entire twelfth floor the fastest won the Golden Creator Cup.
What rules were there? To spice up the event a bit, there were additional rules for the participants:
- Each team can alternately ban 4 characters and 4 weapons so that they may not be used by either team.
- A maximum of three 5-star weapons may be equipped on the characters.
- A maximum of 10 fully leveled artifacts may be equipped on the characters. The remaining artifacts must be at level 0.
However, there were no rules regarding maximum refinements of weapons and constellations of characters.
At the beginning, the first ban phase took place. After 4 bans from each team were distributed, they were allowed to choose 4 characters that they had to use in all 3 rooms.
Then the second ban phase occurred, where another 4 bans were distributed. Finally, the participants were allowed to select the last 4 characters. The various ban and pick phases and special rules required strategic thinking from the content creators.
Within the teams, decisions had to be made about who would use which characters, as these could not be swapped afterward.
After that, all participants delivered exciting and fast-paced battles. However, we won’t reveal who won in the end and how they did it.
