No one likes the traveler in Genshin Impact. Even the NPCs don’t have the patience to wait for cutscenes. This results in funny moments.
In the RPG Genshin Impact, there is a plethora of enemies. Most of them are not a big threat and are just trash mobs that you can easily deal with “in passing”. This must be quite frustrating for the corresponding enemies, which is why they have come up with a new trick. They simply beat up players while they are trapped in a cutscene.
What happened? The Reddit user mastocklkaksi experienced a rather peculiar situation in Genshin Impact. During the penultimate step of the questline surrounding Xingqiu, there is a somewhat lengthy dialogue in the wilderness. Some enemies appear that need to be beaten up. However, the cutscene begins with the dialogue as soon as you approach the location.
Usually, enemies are passive and wait patiently while the dialogue takes place – not in this case. While Paimon and Xingqiu are talking, the main character suddenly gets punched in the face by some looters. Shortly thereafter, the traveler is beaten out of the picture while the conversation continues peacefully.
So I get that the traveler isn’t generally relevant to cutscenes or the plot, but this just adds insult to injury from r/Genshin_Impact
Slapstick comedy at its finest: As if the situation wasn’t silly enough, the camera work plays a perfect role too. Now and then, the traveler gets shoved back and forth. In the last dialogue (second 43-47), you can even see her perfectly flying through the background – Hollywood couldn’t have done it better.
At the end, you can also see how mastocklkaksi is just quickly clicking through the dialogue to finish the sequence as soon as possible.
At least: Ultimately, the enemies were victorious and managed to beat the female traveler to the ground. The game resumes after the traveler is defeated and Amber is up next. A rare moment of success for the enemies.
