Patch 1.1 of Genshin Impact is coming. The developers have now revealed numerous details – including 4 new playable characters.
The developer miHoYo has finally revealed many details about the upcoming Patch 1.1 of Genshin Impact. We will tell you what to expect in the update and what new activities you can undertake in Teyvat. There are numerous new characters, the continuation of the story, and even a new weekly boss, where there is bound to be great loot again.
What story content is coming? The patch will conclude the main storyline surrounding the region of Liyue and bring it to a temporary end. The Traveler has thus far gathered some allies in order to investigate the mysterious incidents surrounding the Geo Archon. The story previously ended with an invitation for a personal meeting, which has yet to be accepted. With the patch, this will become possible, and this storyline will be brought to a close, culminating in a boss fight.
During this, more details about the mysterious Adepti will also be brought to light, who were responsible for the construction and protection of Liyue along with the Geo Archon.
“Distant Stars” event makes Fischl free
New seasonal event: The “Distant Stars” event will take place as a new event. The event will last for two weeks and aims to encourage players to use the multiplayer mode to prevent a “great danger” threatening Teyvat. According to the trailer, stars are falling all over the world, bringing doom with them. Those who complete the challenges will be showered with rewards – details are not yet available.
Fischl will be free: What’s particularly cool about the “Distant Stars” event is that players can earn the character Fischl. She is considered one of the top characters currently leading many tier lists. Unlocking and finally being able to play her will be a highlight of the update for many players.
4 new characters through Wishes
4 new characters are coming: In total, four new characters will come into play, available through the Wishes system. These are Zhongli and Childe (both 5-star), who players probably already know from the storyline. The two 4-star characters are Diona and Xinyan.
- Zhongli is a Geo user. He has already been leaked and presented here in more detail.
- Childe swears by the Hydro element, using a bow as his weapon, but he can shine in close combat as well.
- Xinyan relies on the Pyro element and swings a claymore – and apparently she likes music.
- The little Diona relies on Cryo energy and also swears by the bow, making her another ranged fighter to freeze enemies.
These and other characters have already been leaked in advance.
Reputation system with cool bonuses: Also new is the city reputation system, a kind of reputation system. Over several stages, rewards are unlocked while reputation in the cities of Mondstadt and Liyue continues to grow. New skins for the glider are on the way, as well as discounts in the respective city. Further rewards include:
- Portable teleportation points
- Portable stoves to cook on the go
- Resonance stones to locate missing Anemoculus and Geoculus items
- Treasure compasses that lead to undiscovered chests
New weekly boss: In addition to Devalin and the challenge of the great wolf, there will be a new third boss that you can defeat once a week to score great loot. Bosses are one of the best sources for strong loot in Genshin Impact, such as coveted 5-star artifacts – so more of them is always a good thing.
When does Patch 1.1 come out? Patch 1.1 is scheduled for release on November 11, which is just over a week away. The update will go live on all platforms simultaneously. With the release of the patch, the game will also shortly thereafter be available on PlayStation 5 – even though it will only be released here a week later.
In summary, the patch will thus bring most of what has already been leaked in advance.
