With the next major update 1.6 to Genshin Impact , the “Summer, Sun, Adventure!” event will also start. In addition to sea voyages and new islands, there are also Original Resin and furniture to collect. MeinMMO explains how the event works and what rewards you can earn.
What kind of event is this? Genshin Impact will bring the next major update with 1.6. The new event “Summer, Sun, Adventure!” will also start then.
In this event, you can set sail with the Wave Rider boat to a group of new islands. The event is divided into four acts that unlock as you complete the previous one.
By completing the acts, you will collect Original Resin and other rewards, as well as special items that you can exchange with a special event vendor.
How long does the event last? The event starts with the release of update 1.6 on June 9th and runs until June 28th. You have about two and a half weeks to complete the four acts and exchange items with the event vendor.
Will the island remain in the game after the event? Unfortunately not. The island will disappear after the time period ends. You won’t be able to visit it anymore.
What are the requirements to play the event? You must first reach Adventure Rank 21. Additionally, you must have completed the Archon Quest “The Song of the Dragon and Freedom” as well as Trifolium – Act 1 “True Treasure”.
The requirement for the Legend Quest “True Treasure” will be reduced to Adventure Rank 21 for the duration of the event.
Is the event worth it? Definitely. As always, you can earn Original Resin and other upgrade materials. Additionally, there is a Crown of Wisdom available for exchange at the event vendor. The Crown of Wisdom is needed to raise character talents to level 10.
Talents also have a significant impact on a character’s strength. They affect the damage dealt or healing done. Talents are, alongside weapons and artifacts, the best way to further enhance a character’s performance.

Act 1 “Main Cannons, Set, Aim, Fire!”
What do you need to do in Act 1? You have to destroy various monster camps at sea with the new boat. You can find the locations of the camps marked on your map.
As soon as you encounter a camp, you can fire with cannons or climb the camp towers to eliminate the monsters on land. The challenge is completed when all monsters are defeated.
What rewards are there? In Act 1, upon completing the challenges, you will receive Original Resin, coins, and upgrade materials.
Additionally, there is a special item called Glittering Shells, which you can exchange for special items at the event vendor.
Act 2 “Whirlpool to Starboard…. Full Speed Ahead!”
What do you need to do in Act 2? There, you need to complete time challenges with the boat. You can also find these on the map.
Once you start such a challenge, you must follow a specific route and collect Wavebreaker Badges. You will do this both with your boat and in the air.
What rewards are there? Starting from a score of 10,000, you will already receive Original Resin. The higher levels will grant you items for upgrading.
Act 3 “Samurai Sighted… To Arms!”
What do you need to do in Act 3? You need to locate and defeat the “Mangu Kenki” on an island. This formidable enemy is a dangerous samurai.
What rewards are there? In addition to Original Resin, coins, and level items, there are also the treasures of the “Conquest Blossom”. What exactly this involves is not known.
You can also visit and defeat the samurai after the event period ends, but there will be no more rewards.
Act 4 “Hapastum Bombs Loaded… Blow Them Up!”
What do you need to do in Act 4? There are various alchemy workbenches located on the islands. There, you can craft three different types of so-called Hapastum bombs:
- Precision Bomb
- Shard Bomb
- Flame Bomb
To craft the bombs, you need special items that you must have with you first.
- Flame Seed
- Dragon Tail
- Light Material from a Firefly
- Frog
With these bombs, you must subsequently locate monster camps on the islands and eliminate all enemies there.
What rewards are there? In addition to Original Resin and level items, you can also collect the next item for the event vendor here. You can exchange the Mini-Hapastum with him.
The Items from the Event Vendor
What can you get from him? You can exchange a Crown of Wisdom at this vendor. Additionally, there are furniture crafting plans and upgrade materials.
Depending on which item you exchange, there are different rewards. With the Glittering Shell from Act 1, you can obtain the following items:
- Crown of Wisdom
- Chest of Raw Weapons of the North
- Blueprint: “A Guidepost in the Summer Forest”
- Blueprint: “Messenger in the Summer Forest”
- Blueprint: Pond “Colorful and Refreshing Summer”
- Material for Talent Upgrades
With the Mini-Hapastum from Act 4, you can get the following items:
- Dodoco Stories
- Childhood Fragment (Upgrade Material for Dodoco Stories)
- Blueprint: “Praise of the Feather”
- Blueprint: “The Treasure of the Blue Sea”
- Blueprint: “Chorus of Witches”
- Material for Weapon Ascension

Besides the event, many will find the new character Kazuha interesting. He will be the first playable character from Inazuma.
Kazuha is a powerful fighter and will play an important role in finding the way to Inazuma. This is the next major chapter and a new region in the main story of Genshin Impact.
