In Genshin Impact, the co-op event “Elemental Furnace” has started. It is the first event since the release of the co-op RPG. We will show you the rewards and tell you how to make the most of it.
What kind of event is this? This is a co-op event. You can only play it in co-op and not alone. It runs until October 19 and rewards you for fighting waves of monsters in a group.
As the name of the event suggests, you must heat up an Elemental Furnace. You do this by collecting Elemental Clusters that you find on a game field.
However, you can only enter the game field with multiple players. If none of your friends are available, you can also play with random online players.
Waves of enemies will appear on the game field over time. Between those, the Elemental Clusters will show up, which you need to collect and throw into the furnace. If you’ve collected enough, the round is completed, and you will receive rewards.
All information about the co-op event in Genshin Impact
These are the requirements: Not every player can participate. You must meet certain requirements to take part in the co-op event:
- You must have reached adventure level 20 at least
- You must have completed all quests of the 2nd prologue act “For a Tomorrow Without Tears”
- The quest “A Giant Leap for Alchemy?” by Timaeus must be completed
Here’s how to get started: If you have met all these requirements, you can dive into the event. First, you need to talk to Timaeus again. He will send you to the Temple of a Thousand Winds. There you can start the co-op event and fight against waves of enemies together with friends or random teammates.
Here are the rewards: This is where it gets a bit tricky. The rewards are given after completing the quest. However, you need to pay 40 Original Resin to do so. So you cannot repeat the quest infinitely, as eventually, you will run out of Original Resin.
When you pay 40 Original Resin, there will be different loot available depending on the world level. It doesn’t matter what world level your teammates have during the quest. Each player receives the appropriate loot for their world level.
Additionally, there are further rewards in the Alchemy Handbook. They depend on your success in the previous combat. You need to complete alchemical processes or defeat incoming enemies, for example.
Among the rewards, you can find 300 Starglitter waiting for you. For these rewards, you don’t need any Original Resin.

How to make the most of the event: There are several things you can consider to get the most out of the event.
Before the round starts, make sure which character you want to use for the fight. You cannot change characters during the quest. Be sure to check out our tier list for Genshin Impact. We show you the best fighters there.
When collecting Elemental Clusters, make sure to only collect one cluster and bring it directly to the furnace. If you collect multiple clusters, you will lose the first cluster you collected, and no other player can collect it anymore.
Try to collect Elemental Clusters of the same type. If you do this, you can transport those clusters more efficiently after a certain time.
You should try to fulfill all the tasks from the Alchemy Handbook. These are basically free items that you should grab. You can replay the quest as many times as you want – provided you have 40 Original Resin per round to receive the rewards.
It is important that you don’t rush to get all the rewards. The event will last for several days, and you will receive free Original Resin every day. You can earn up to 180 Original Resin per day.
You can run the quest at least 4 times per day and grab your rewards. This is plenty of time to complete all the tasks from the Alchemy Handbook by the end of the event and furthermore bag additional rewards each round.
Is the event worth it? Definitely! You can gather quite a bit of loot each round. One of the highlights is the 300 Starglitter, which you can obtain from the Alchemy Handbook.
In general, in Genshin Impact, you should proceed rather slowly. The developers have already revealed that the upcoming update will take some time:
