Genshin Impact shows new features for the future, but the fans want something completely different

The creators of Genshin Impact, miHoYo, have announced what new features are coming or could come with future patches. The community does not agree with them and demands entirely different innovations.

miHoYo has a format called “Developer Q&A” (via HoYoLAB). There, they discuss community questions and how they plan to address issues. They also announce new features or updates for upcoming patches.

What new features and updates are coming? Genshin Impact has announced some new things and fixes that are supposed to come even in Patch 2.2:

• In Mondstadt, event items from previous events will now be purchasable with Mora from the NPC named Marjorie. These items are:
  • “Balloon commemorating the Windblume Festival”
  • “Scenic Lyre”
  • “Wind Blessing Harpastum”
• Special effects will be made more transparent when the crosshair of bow characters overlaps with them in target mode.
• In Hangout events, options that you have previously selected will now be marked with a symbol to help you obtain different paths and endings.
• Support for the DualSense™ Wireless Controller (PlayStation®5) will be available. The haptic feedback and the dynamic adaptive trigger function will be implemented.
• Transport requests in Inazuma will be made faster by increasing the movement speed of goods.
• The brightness of the special effect from Raiden Shogun will be reduced. This refers to the glowing orbs that indicate the stacks when you have used the special ability.
• When pausing the game, cooldowns and durations of enemy abilities will no longer be skipped.

These features and updates are coming in the future:

• The images from the Hangout events should be able to be hung in frames in the housing system.
• There will be decorations that can play music.
• The information display about the enemies on the different “Twisted Abyss” levels should be made more visible. Probably you can then also see the monster information during troop formation.
• When leaving multiplayer mode, the original party will be restored. This also applies if another leaves your multiplayer mode.

The community wants from Genshin Impact

What does the community say? The community is not satisfied with miHoYo’s announcements. They would prefer other things to be changed, fixed, or added.

My suggestions:

1. Electro Traveler’s Electro Greatsword is cooler than their current in-game ability set. We want more than their support capabilities.

2. Increase the forging limit for “Mystical Enhancement Ore”.

3. Continue to revise the Electro reactions, we can hardly feel the damage.

4. Increase the Mora per hour so we can obtain more items from the pot shop.

5. The last limit in the pot is still too low.

6. Increase resin from 160 to 200. Also reduce the time it takes to refill resin.

7. Controller support for Android smartphones.

Please add the feature that allows switching constellations.

What does nekroslol mean by that? Once you have unlocked a constellation for a character, you cannot turn it off again. Bennett’s 6th constellation is a good example, as unlocking it limits rather than expands Bennett’s team capabilities. It would be practical if you could deactivate it for certain teams.

The community also wants more endgame content and artifact builds. They want specific artifact sets stored in a specific configuration for certain characters.

For example, if you equip Jean as support and then want to quickly switch to a sub-DPS build, you have to go through a long process of switching each individual artifact instead of being able to quickly switch between set configurations.

Additionally, fans have been asking for the feature that allows you to pet animals for a long time. So far, none of the features that the community has been longing for have been addressed.
