Who is Yoimiya? Yoimiya hails from the island of Narukami in Inazuma. She is better known as the “Queen of the Summer Festival.” She holds the title of Queen because she is renowned as the best pyrotechnician from Inazuma. Moreover, Yoimiya is the heir of the “Naganohara Fireworks” shop, which has been around for a long time in Narukami. Every year, she is responsible for the fireworks during the summer festival in the capital of Inazuma, leaving everyone in awe each time.
She is known as the “heroic sister” among the children in Inazuma and has a solution to every problem. However, she is not just open to children. With her smile and brilliantly bright fireworks, Yoimiya inspires travelers and enlightens them with new possibilities. She always tries her best to help those in need.
Her passion lies in all kinds of fireworks and their creation. She firmly believes that the most beautiful fireworks occur alongside the most wonderful moments. According to Yoimiya, the fireworks capture even the tiniest emotions.
In her free time, Yoimiya prefers to engage in fireworks. She also enjoys playing with everyone, reading books, and chatting with people. Additionally, she has lactose intolerance and prefers snacks in between rather than large main meals.

Naganohara Yoimiya – Abilities and Element
What can Yoimiya do? Yoimiya is a pyro damage dealer. She uses the fire element to inflict damage on enemies with her bow. Fitting with the fire element, she uses her self-made fireworks to attack or mark enemies so that her team members can also deal pyro damage.
What are her qualities? Yoimiya carries the title “Exuberant Flames” and comes with the following qualities:
- Weapon: Bow
- Affiliation: Naganohara Fireworks
- Constellation: Carassius Auratus
- Divine Eye: Fire
What attacks and abilities does she possess? Yoimiya is the second pyro character to use a bow. She can perform various actions with her bow:
- Normal Attack: Performs up to five arrow shots
- Charged Attack: Performs a targeted shot with higher damage and accuracy. Depending on the charge time, the attack generates different effects:
- Charge Level 1: Fires a fire arrow that deals pyro damage
- Charge Level 2: Creates up to 3 fire arrows, depending on the charge time, that are fired together with the shot. They automatically seek nearby enemies and deal pyro damage
- Elemental Skill: “Niwabi Fire Dance”: Transforms the arrows for 10 seconds and inflicts increased pyro damage with them. During this skill’s duration, Yoimiya cannot reach Charge Level 2 with her charged attack. The effect ends prematurely if she is switched out
- Special Ability: “Ryuukin Stonebreaker”: Firework rockets are fired at the enemies causing pyro area damage. Additionally, a hit enemy is marked. Then “Ryuukin Flames” activates for 10 seconds:
- Triggers an explosion, causing pyro area damage when hitting marked enemies with normal attacks, charged attacks, falling attacks, elemental skills, and special abilities from all team members except for Yoimiya herself
- If a marked enemy is defeated faster than the skill duration allows, the mark with the remaining duration automatically jumps to a nearby enemy
- There is a cooldown of 2 seconds between explosions
- The effect ends immediately if Yoimiya is defeated
The Constellations of Yoimiya
What are Constellations? If you obtain a character in Genshin Impact multiple times, you can unlock constellations. Each character has six constellations, of which constellations three and five always increase the level of elemental and special abilities by three. These are the other important constellations of Yoimiya:
- 1st Constellation: Extends the duration of Ryuukin Flames by 4 seconds. Additionally, during the duration of Ryuukin Flames, Yoimiya’s attack increases by 20% for 20 seconds when the enemy defeated has been affected by Yoimiya’s flames
- 2nd Constellation: If a critical hit is made with Yoimiya’s pyro damage, Yoimiya’s pyro damage increases by 25% for 6 seconds. The effect persists even if Yoimiya is no longer on the field
- 4th Constellation: If the Ryuukin Flames created by Yoimiya herself explode, the cooldown of Niwabi Fire Dance is reduced by 1.2 seconds
- 6th Constellation: With a 50% chance, an additional arrow is shot during normal attacks, dealing 60% of the normal attack’s damage.
“Playing Yoimiya isn’t fun”
What do content creators say about Yoimiya? Whenever a new character appears, it has become routine to evaluate them and share opinions with the community as a YouTuber or streamer. Most are not entirely convinced by Yoimiya:

However, they all agree that in Genshin Impact, one should definitely ensure that they have fun with their characters. Even if the endgame dungeon is not perfectly achievable, it is not worthwhile to draw a character just for the damage. They see Yoimiya in the middle range and believe that she fits well in a team with cryo, hydro, and electro characters.

What does the community say? Some players fear that Yoimiya will be a bad character.

When can I play Yoimiya? Yoimiya is playable for a short time during her quest in Inazuma. This makes it easier to predict where her potential lies. She is equipped with the 5-star weapon “Thunderpulse“, the artifact set “Old Court Ritual“, and her constellation is unlocked to Level 3. However, her potential has not been fully explored, as the artifact set is not optimal for her and does not have a pyro damage bonus stat. However, she will come fully into play later.
Yoimiya’s Banner – Possible Release
When will Yoimiya’s banner come out? Since Yoimiya was announced together with Sayu and Ayaka for Patch 2.0, and Ayaka is already available until August 10, Yoimiya will most likely follow directly after. In the past, banners have been replaced in the evenings or mornings for new ones. This depends on when the previous prayer banner ends. In this case, Yoimiya will appear in the evening of August 10 from around 7 PM to 8 PM, as Ayaka’s banner ends at 6:59 PM.
Furthermore, it is still interesting for most players to know which 4-star characters will be in the banner. In this case, it is likely that the Anemo Ninja Sayu will appear along with two already known characters in the banner. Additionally, a well-known and previously reliable leaker announced the following banner on Twitter:
How to get Yoimiya? The characters in Genshin Impact are normally obtained through prayers in banners that are exchanged every two to three weeks. Only during this time can you sacrifice your primogems for a specific 5-star character. Primogems can be obtained through various types of quests, events, or after updates in the in-game mailbox. Alternatively, you can also buy Creation Crystals, which can be converted into Primogems. With that, you can pull on the banner and hope for Yoimiya.
