In Genshin Impact, the first anniversary is on September 28. Accordingly, the creators, miHoYo, have come up with events and rewards. However, these have not satisfied the community at all.
In gacha games, rewards for anniversaries are often generous to properly thank and celebrate with the community. Rare or strong characters are often given for free, and the developers of gacha games frequently offer free pulls for new characters.
Genshin Impact has announced that they will gradually release rewards to properly celebrate their anniversary.
What rewards have been announced so far for Genshin Impact? So far, the following rewards have been announced for you:
- As a login bonus, you will receive a total of 10x “Fate” (Verwobenes Schicksal), 80000 Mora, 8x purple EXP cards, and 18 crystals for upgrading your weapons
- Additionally, an event called “Moonlight Joy” will start on September 27, which will give you a new weapon and 2000 Primogems for participation
- Moreover, the recharge bonus in the cash shop has been renewed for a one-time event
Furthermore, Genshin Impact has announced new rewards that the community is absolutely not happy about.

What kind of rewards are these? You can either be among 1000 winners who will receive 100 Primogems, or real prizes, such as an iPhone 13 Pro Max, cash, or AirPods (via HoYoLAB).
Additionally, you have a 10% chance to win the Moon Blessing. Its value is €4.99, and you must log in daily to get a maximum of 2700 Primogems. Plus, with the Moon Blessing, you instantly receive 300 Creation Crystals, which you can use to shop in the store or convert to Primogems. The other 90% will receive 100000 Mora.
How do you get these rewards? You can earn these rewards through community actions. Players are asked to create a memory card, take nice photos in-game, make drawings, or even publish a video.
This is how the community reacts to the new rewards: These actions are bringing the community to a breaking point. They are outraged that among several million players, only 1000 winners would be selected, and then there would be only 100 Primogems on top of that. 160 Primogems cost a pull on a character or weapon banner.
