In Genshin Impact introduced the new island region Inazuma with Update 2.0. Players usually reach it via teleportation, but one player fancied himself clever and chose a cooler way to travel to Inazuma.
What happened? The new region Inazuma is an island chain inspired by traditional Japan. It consists of a total of six islands, three of which are currently accessible. Normally, players access Inazuma through the main quest, and once they have been there, they can teleport back.
However, one player was not satisfied with that; he wanted to reach Inazuma in a particularly cool way. He used the ice bridge, which has long been known as a meme in the game, to simply walk across the entire ocean. In the end, however, he was met with an unpleasant surprise as he was teleported back just before reaching his destination.
How did he do it? The player used Cryo characters and their ice abilities to freeze the water in front of him. When Cryo in Genshin Impact comes into contact with water, it temporarily freezes, allowing players to walk on it. With a bit of practice, it is theoretically possible to walk completely over the water.
The player was on his mission to cross the ocean on foot for 23 minutes. Just before reaching his destination, however, the game teleported him back to the Guyun Stone Forest, where the ship to Inazuma was waiting for him.

The community finds it unfortunate but funny
What does the community say about it? The video has already inspired numerous imitators who want to try their luck. They are trying to find a place that the developers mihoyo forgot, where they can somehow sneak through.
The rest of the community is amused by the attempts. No one is truly surprised that it doesn’t work, though it would be really cool if it did.
People are jokingly demanding that the developers allow travel via ice bridge, just “for the meme.” Personally, we believe it won’t be technically easy to implement as it likely involves two different instances. But we would still think it’s cool.
