In version 3.5, Dehya was introduced as a playable character in Genshin Impact. However, many in the community express disappointment regarding the character’s abilities.
Who is Dehya? She is a mercenary, encountered for the first time during the Sumeru Archon quest. Dehya is a tough fighter who is also willing to make sacrifices to help others.
Many players were looking forward to the release of the character in version 3.5. However, now that Dehya has arrived in Genshin Impact, numerous fans in the community are expressing disappointment and are eagerly hoping for an improvement in her abilities.

How is the community reacting? Currently, many players are complaining about the mercenary in various reddit threads or even under the YouTube video showcasing Dehya’s combat abilities:

What are the community’s criticisms? There is a lot of criticism directed at Dehya. Her attack values are considered quite low for a 5-star character. Furthermore, her abilities are simply underwhelming.
The main point: her kit itself is far too weak. Additionally, some mechanics of her abilities are criticized, such as a jump interrupting her Elemental Burst. Moreover, many players feel that its duration is too short to deal sufficient damage. In contrast, the cooldown is too long (via reddit).
On top of that, the automatic execution of the Elemental Burst does not sit well with many players and, according to some, leads to targeting issues.
Players are now giving feedback to Hoyoverse and hoping for a buff that will significantly strengthen Dehya (via reddit). Furthermore, the community is sharing tips on the best builds and team compositions for Dehya to maximize her potential.
The reason why improvements for Dehya seem to be a significant concern for many: Although Dehya’s combat stats are not the best, she is still a fairly popular character in Genshin Impact, as is repeatedly evident in discussions.
Many praise the character’s great personality or admire her appearance and hope that the mercenary can truly shine in combat in the future.
What does Hoyoverse plan for Dehya? So far, there has been no information on how the character’s kit will proceed. However, it is already certain that Dehya will be added to the standard banner starting version 3.6.
