According to a leak, the character Ayato Kamisato is set to appear in Genshin Impact with patch 2.6. Up until now, very little is known about him, yet he is celebrated by fans. Here’s what is known about Ayato.
This is Ayato Kamisato: The young Ayato is the current head of the prominent Kamisato clan, one of the most respected clans in Inazuma. He serves the shogunate of the country and takes care of political and organizational matters.
He is also the older brother of Ayaka Kamisato, who has been playable for a long time now. Since Ayato is always extremely busy and stressed, he is reluctant to show himself in public. Therefore, Ayaka takes on the role of the face of the Kamisato clan in his place.
Although very little is known about Ayato, he is regarded as a highly popular character. He stole the show from the character Arataki Itto in his own trailer. Ayato’s voice was only briefly audible at the end of the trailer, but it drove fans crazy.
In the Japanese version of Genshin Impact, he is voiced by the voice actor Akira Ishida, who has achieved an almost legendary status for his numerous appearances in anime and video games (via Wikipedia).
Leaks say: Now there are rumors in the Genshin community that Ayato is expected to be added to the game with patch 2.6. Several leakers have stated on Twitter that the popular character will be featured in the first banner of 2.6:
So far, there is very little information available about Ayato. Even regarding his element and weapon, there is mostly speculation based on fragments of information from the game. It is suspected that he will be a Hydro character who could use a sword or spear, but neither has been officially confirmed yet.
Ayato’s appearance is also still unknown, and there are no reliable screenshots of him from the game. However, he is said to have blue hair, similar to his sister Ayaka.
According to leaks, Ayato is expected to be a 5-star character, just like his sister. Descriptions of his abilities have also leaked:
- E-Skill: When Ayato’s Elemental Skill is activated at the same time he is attacked by an enemy, he gains a stack of “Kendo Pose.”
- E-Burst: Ayato performs a jump attack that consumes the collected stacks of “Kendo Pose.” According to the leak, up to 3 stacks are possible.
Kendo is the Japanese martial art of sword fighting, which again suggests that Ayato wields a sword as a weapon. However, it is currently also hard to assess what role Ayato will play in a team.
Keep in mind with this information as always that these are leaks. And while leaks from Genshin Impact have often proven reliable, they should still be treated with caution.
